Customers were writing posts on X. Someone wrote, “ Just has a purchase declined. I did a payID transfer to my CommBank account as a workaround to complete the purchase, and funds didn’t go through.” Another said, “ Getting a bit embarrassing for you guys now isn’t it.”
Close to 10 am, the ING Bank Australia wrote on social media, “ Services are returning to normal. Most customers should now be able to access the ING app and online banking and make payments and transfers.”
The bank went on to say, “As we complete the restoration, some overseas customers may be experiencing issues accessing the app and online banking. We will provide updates on our socials. We sincerely apologise to any customers who have been impacted.”
The Customer complained that this is not the first occurrence of an outage at ING Bank Australia; over the past several weeks, the bank has suffered multiple outages.
